We had a dinner for three people on a Friday night. We loved the Shanghai noodles, spicy breaded shrimp, mapo tofu and green beans. The prices are reasonable and their seafood and vegetables were excellent.

When you enter the restaurant, you can see lots of awards handed by the wall. Looks like the village has given them lots of recognition. Foor is great. The shrimp pad thai was alittle bit more oyster saucey. The soup was served hot and just what i liked since i needed a hot soup for my stomach at this time. Would definitely come back.

Family owned restaurant with very good vibes. Food is your typical Americanized Chinese food, but more authentic the pf changs, panda... etc. Staff is friendly and the owners are always around. IMO the best Chinese restaurant in the Chicago land area.

It has been years since we have dined in rather than ordered carry-out. However, on Christmas Eve the wait for carry out was 45 minutes. Carry out orders covered all the chairs in the waiting area. Might you have an open table to dine-in? Absolutely. Our server, Raphael, was wonderful. Super attentive, checking on us frequently, as the kitchen was extremely busy. Again, portions are generous and were served piping hot. No complaints.

In a lot of ways House of Emperor is your typical suburban Chinese restaurant. I really do like it though. The menu is extensive featuring your beef, pork, chicken, seafood, appetizers, and soups. However, please pay attention to the items listed under the Emperor's Special portion of the menu. Everything on the menu is good but these listings represent the more creative selections available on the menu. Personally some of my favorites are the Wonton Soup, BBQ Pork Appetizer, Beef Tenderloin W/Black Pepper Sauce, Twice Cooked Pork, Mongolian Beef, and Beef or Pork Almond Ding. Please be aware the portions are adequate and not anything more or less. Also as with all businesses prices have gone up since the pandemic.
